On Friday June 23, the Board of Directors of WTC Punta del Este Free Zone held a conference at the Events Hall of The Grand Hotel, Punta del Este.
Local and foreign businesspeople, the media and local authorities all took part.
After the welcome coffee, Carlos Lecueder, Chairman of the Board, told the audience about the historic milestones in the initial years of developing the WTC Montevideo Complex, its vast growth and the successful history of WTC Montevideo Free Zone with Towers 1 and 2. He then provided information on the main benefits of Uruguay’s Free Trade Zone framework and the services that will be offered by WTC Punta del Este Free Zone when construction is completed in 2025.
Ernesto Kimelman, Vice-Chairman of the Board, explained and presented the main building and infrastructure features. He detailed the tower’s architectural aspects, illustrating the talk with plans and photographic renderings of the floors.
Gabriel Oddone closed the conference with a talk on Uruguay’s economic and political situation beyond 2023, from the point of view of challenges, continuities and possible changes.
